Education-to-workforce strategist | Tech founder | Higher ed leader | Board-ready governance professional

I'm a higher education leader, tech founder, strategic researcher, and emerging board member on a mission to transform the education-to-workforce pipeline.

Building the Future

As Co-Founder & CEO of Vantage IQ, I'm addressing a critical gap: 41% of high school graduates feel unprepared for the workforce. Vantage IQ grew directly out of The Ultimate Guide to High School Advising Curriculum, a program I built with K-12 teachers and advisors to help students create real plans for life after high school — now an AI-powered skills navigator that helps students identify their strengths and chart personalized paths to meaningful careers. After 14 years as a professor, I've seen firsthand why career readiness needs a rethink — and why a "whole community" approach connecting educators, businesses, and community leaders is essential for creating hands-on opportunities.

Academic & Research Leadership

I serve as Senior Director of Academic Programming at Trilith Institute, where I lead academic strategy and university partnerships for a nonprofit building the next generation of storytellers through education and workforce development. I'm also an adjunct professor of Mass Media Arts at Clark Atlanta University, and Principal Qualitative Researcher with The J. Michelle Group, where I transform complex research into actionable strategies for organizations spanning education, public health, and workforce development sectors.

Board & Governance Experience

I bring proven strategic leadership as Co-Chair of Strategic Planning for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.'s Atlanta Alumnae Chapter, where I design assessment frameworks, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and deliver data-driven recommendations to executive leadership. I'm a graduate of the Greater Atlanta United Way's Volunteer Involvement Program (VIP) Board Training.
